• Having some in-person sessions this program year is expected, therefore it’s best to live in the Twin Cities metro region. – A Washington, Anoka, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, and Carver counties
• Belong to one of several racial and ethnic groups, such as Black, Indigenous, Asian, Pacific Islander, Latino, Caribbean, African, Middle Eastern/North African, Bi/Multi-Ethnic, etc.   White or Caucasian people are not eligible to participate in this program.
• Be passionate about making a difference in Minnesota state legislature

• Applicants must be Wilder clients or participants, have a family member enrolled in Direct Housing Assistance, or be referred by an authorized community partner.
• Listed on the mortgage document, you rent or own.
• You haven’t used Direct Housing Assistance in a year.
• Supporting papers include identification for all adult (18+) household members, lease or mortgage deed, and income verification.
• Wilder did not employ you in 90 days. Applicants must not be Wilder employees.
• Annual income standards by family size are met. Wages, self-employment, child support, SSI/SSDI/RSDI, retirement, and MFIP are all part of your household’s mandatory income.
• If you live in Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Ramsey, Hennepin, Scott, or Washington County or have your name on the mortgage deed, you qualify. Rental assistance recipients must pay 50% of their income for rent/utilities.
