  1. The organization may not have received a Major Grant from the Foundation during the last three years, unless there are exceptional circumstances that are determined entirely at the discretion of the Trustees.
  2. Only tax-exempt organizations may receive grants under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) or 170(c) (the “Code”). None under Section 509(a) of the Code may be provided to Private Foundations.
  3. The Foundation Guidelines for Regular Grants’ priorities must be supported by at least 50% of the organization’s services.
  4. There will be grants available for the purchase of capital asset items.
  5. Typically, a grant application requires an organization to have been in operation for a minimum of two years and to have established a track record of providing successful service.

The Foundation will not provide grants from discretionary money to:

  1. Institutions of general education or sectarian religious groups, regardless of hierarchy. However, this does not mean that requests from religious organizations and educational institutions cannot be taken into account.
